Will the Samsung Omnia i8910 HD be robust enough to maintains its name or will it shatter down?It is not the first time a cell phone has claimed this enticing acronym, but the Samsung Omnia HD targets there where it matter a lot that is video playback and recording.
Samsung were the first to reveal and release an HD-video-enabled cell phone. None of major manufacturers managed to launch a relevant one. So, all users grandly welcomed the Samsung to feel the difference.
Nevertheless, the Samsung Omnia HD comes geared up with overall everything that Samsung can offers. HD video playback and recording are definitely top-grade stuff but these are just the fancy extras with the rival on the battle ground. There's also a great 600 MHz processor, huge screen, and high level graphics chip. The all-in-one count continues with an 8 megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, generous 8/16 GB internal storage and DivX/XviD HD playback with subtitle support. Finally, the whole thing runs the latest Symbian S60 5th edition comprised with the new TouchWiz 3D interface.
Some Drawback:
- Missing camera lens cover.
- No flash.
- HD video recording occasionally drops below 24fps.
- Slow image gallery browsing.
- Lack of smart dialing.
- Samsung Mobile Navigator doesn't come with any maps or voice-guided navigation license.
- Need of tweaking in Touch web browser zooming.
- Paid office document editing ( no free version).
- There are limited 3rd party software for it.
If overlooked these lack of technologies, the Omnia HD is full with all kinds of goodies and ready to throne as the king of high resolution cell phone.
